Cezary Stulgis is a Polish-born artist currently based in Australia, renowned for his dynamic sculptures, paintings, and design work. His highly distinctive work fuses next-level aesthetics with classical craftsmanship, reflecting his roots in the street art movement of the mid-eighties and his formal training as a sculptor and painter at the renowned Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Poland, where he earned an MFA with Distinction in 2000. Additionally, Stulgis gained a Certificate of Arts and Design in Brisbane in 1992, and a Bachelor of Visual Arts in QUT, Brisbane in 1995.
Stulgis has created numerous public sculptures across Australia, commissioned by various councils and corporations. Notable works include The Guardian in Brisbane, Terrain in Melbourne, and Auroa in Brisbane. His art has been exhibited widely in solo and group shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and internationally in Poland. He has been recognized with several awards, including the Creative Sparks Grant from the Brisbane City Council in 2007 and the Regional Arts Development Fund from the Sunshine Coast Council in 2009.
