Sarina Lirosi

Biography

Alongside her profession as an educator in photography practice and theory, Sarina Lirosi has had extensive exhibiting experience spanning over three decades. She has had eleven solo exhibitions and has been a finalist in many award shows, including the Hutchins Art Prize, Hobart and National Works on Paper at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. More recently Sarina won the 2018 Bonanza Yarra Sculpture Gallery Award. Sarina has also participated in a large number of curated group shows including Celebrating the Exquisite Corpse at the Bendigo Art Gallery and Fictions presented by Monash University Museum of Art. Sarina’s work has been published in the Photo Compendium Australia by Mary Meyer and Bob Kersey, as well as Imago Mundi – Looking Down Under, Contemporary Artists from Australia with text by Luciano Benetton and Chris McAuliffe. Sarina has a studio in Northcote, Victoria where she works when she is not teaching.
