JAMEXSII is a Naarm-based, multi-disciplinary artist whose practice defies the boundaries of traditional artistic and social conventions. Often found in their work, they utilise their process to investigate the role Political and social conventions play in everyday life.

Their recent body of work, For Your Pleasure, transports the audience to a fantasy world where one’s deepest desires and fears have been transformed into consumable products. In a contemporary society, it is impossible to avoid the product of the capitalist industries and the effects of consumer culture, this project explores the limits of capitalism by creating products that would otherwise be impossible to consume. By drawing from iconic moments of art history, For Your Pleasure transforms identifiable imagery into a contemporary framework. This project aims to deconstruct traditional conventions of fine art and the positionality of Readymade in the art industry.
